Doctor hours are by appointment only. This allows us to better plan our day to avoid extensive wait times for you and your pet and to be respectful of your time as well. We would appreciate the courtesy of letting us know if you will be late or are not able to make your scheduled appointment time.
We realize that emergencies do occur during office hours and will make room in our schedule to accommodate those needs.
Please let us know if you have any special needs or will need help getting you pet in from your car. We will be more than happy to assist you as needed.

EUTHANASIA SERVICESEnd of life decision making and saying goodbye to a long-time friend can be painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet’s comfort and dignity through this difficult time. Services include multiple options for taking care of remains as directed by the client. |
ULTRASOUNDThis non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs; primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available. At MVPH, our ultrasound is a helpful screening tool for identifying fluid effusions, masses, and bladder patholgy. However, we do not have the same advanced training and experience as Radiologists and Internal Medicine specialists, so we may still recommend referral to one of several specialty hospitals in the Twin Cities for more in-depth, diagnostic ultrasounds when required. |
RADIOLOGYRadiographs, or (x-rays), help our veterinarians evaluate musculoskeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems. These may be suggested by your veterinarian depending on your pet’s specific medical condition. Be assured that exposure of your pet to x-ray radiation is painless and risk free. |
LAB SERVICESWe possess the ability to run many of the necessary lab tests in-house. This reduces the delay that may be critical between getting the needed answers and starting treatment on your beloved companion. We utilize several outside labs that provide excellent and rapid service for more complicated diagnostic tests and biopsies.
